A public developer hub is on the build queue. Target launch: fall 2028.

The Honest Version

No Public API Yet. Coming In Fall 2028.

The IMC Machine has a working internal API that powers the four products, Buddy, the catalog, and the tenant application. It is not yet documented for public consumption. The right time to open it up arrives when the surface is stable enough to commit to backward compatibility for a long time.

That date is fall 2028. The decision to wait is deliberate. The current pace of change inside the platform makes a public contract premature, and a public API that breaks is worse than no public API.

What Is Coming

The Surface The Hub Will Cover.

  • Matter API. Read, write, list, and search matter records. The same model the Evidence Orchestrator uses internally.
  • Event API. Calendar entries, run-of-show, crew assignments, livestream events. The Live Event Production Hub surface.
  • Document API. Generated motions, packets, briefs, and exhibits. PDF and DOCX renders. Three-model consensus state per document.
  • Webhooks. Matter-updated, event-confirmed, document-finalized, livestream-started, livestream-ended.
  • Authentication. OAuth 2.0 for tenants and personal access tokens for individual operators. SAML SSO bridging from enterprise tenants.
  • OpenAPI 3.1 spec. Machine-readable. Generated from the source, not hand-maintained.
  • Reference clients. Python, JavaScript, Ruby, plus a CLI.
  • Sandbox tenant. A free, isolated tenant for development and testing with synthetic data.

Until Then

Integrations Get Scoped By Hand.

The current integration list is on the integrations page. New integrations are scoped against the internal API on a case-by-case basis. Most one-off integrations land inside two weeks.

If a custom integration would meaningfully shape the public API design, the build is discounted in exchange for the design feedback. Email the use case.

The developer preview opens in spring 2028. It is a private mailing list with API design notes, breaking changes, and request-for-comment on endpoints.
